Common Fees (2018-2019):
• $251 – Initial Appointment (90 minutes)
• $251* – Standard Appointments (50 minutes)
• $364* – Extended Appointments (90 minutes)
While most appointments about 50 minutes, the first appointment usually lasts about 90 minutes. Extended appointments of 90 minutes are sometimes scheduled when additional time is required (e.g. for assessments, or when more than one person attends).
All fees are payable by cash or credit card at the time of the appointment (credit card billing and Medicare claims are processed by HealthKit). Appointments of 50 minutes or longer with a GP Mental Health Care Plan referral are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $124.50.
*For holders of a current Health Care Card concession, a limited number of reduced fee appointments are available ($146.45 for Standard Appointments and for $251 Extended Appointments). If fee reductions are important to you, please ask about availability when requesting an appointment as these times are often booked well in advance.
Reduced fees are not available for Initial Appointments.
If you need to cancel or postpone an appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice or you will be charged for the session. Note that Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for missed appointments.
